Toyota 2000GT Review Clasic Car
Toyota
2000GT produced between the years 1966-1970 produced only 350 pieces. Reinforced
137.5 cu in/2253cc SOHC engine I-6, 3x2-bbl carburetors Mikuni-Solex PHH x 3,
capable of producing power at 140 hp @ 5400 rpm with a torque of 148 lb-ft @
3800 rpm, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission (RWD) accelerates from 0-60
mph with a time of 10.01 sec with a maximum speed of 128 mph (206 km / h).
Pretty
much considered the first ever Japanese sports car, the Toyota 2000GT was a unique
sports car that was built jointly between Toyota and Yamaha. Much like the
LF-A, Yamaha designed and created the potent engine of the Toyota 2000GT. The Toyota 2000GT
has an interesting history: it was the only Japanese car that featured in the
James Bond film You Only Live Twice title and ran in the SCCA by legendary
Carroll Shelby. A pristine example of the vehicle is being sold on ebay for
$650,000. Even more surprising is that it is left hand drive and has low
mileage.
Classic cars has their own charm and class, modern cars doesn't have that charm and class with some nice features as well.
